A MUST Have Snack For Draft Parties This Year

Reading Time: 3 minutes

First Round Mock’s Victoria Jonach has found the perfect snack for your NFL Draft party this year that everybody will be talking about!

“It’s like a touchdown in your mouth.”

This is the slogan that Texas running back Bijan Robinson uses for his personal mustard brand, “Bijan Mustardson.”

The 21-year-old is capitalizing on his ability to profit off of his name, image, and likeness (NIL). The rule change making this possible occurred in July of 2021, and the world of college sports has never been more different.

The Robinson Mustard Story

Robinson launched his brand in August of 2022, along with a series of merchandise fans can find under “Mustard Merch” on his website. This includes drink koozies, stickers, t-shirts, hats, pennants, candles, and even a “Bijan Mustard Smuggler,” which is a storage container that makes it possible to use part of the condiment when on the go.

Clearly, Robinson has the fans’ backs.

The businessman also created a promotional video for the product, which can be seen here.

From the site, to the social media pages, the brand’s humor is very tongue in cheek. There are several cheesy slogans Robinson uses that fans can’t help but look at and smirk. The official website also contains “The Mustard Story,” which is all about how the running back went about this.

“By 2022, Bijan had scored touchdowns in every way, shape, and form” the story reads. “The only place he hadn’t scored a touchdown was his taste buds.”

“With the help of top-quality chefs, Bijan made a mustard that was so good, it tasted like a touchdown. It was then he knew, pending production timelines, mouth touchdowns for everyone would be a mustard-purchase away.”

“It’ll break your mouth’s ankles” and “It’ll put your mouth defense on skates” are some of the catchphrases the running back uses throughout his social media pages.

Fans can view the brand’s Instagram by selecting “Mustard Fun” on the official website.

Robinson also has a Twitter page fans can view here. His humor continues as he posts about giveaways, reminders, and cheeky jokes about production and organization aspects of the business.

Fans can find their favorite entrepreneur/athlete’s product at select grocery stores and several Austin-based restaurants.

Rise to the Top

At the Big 12 Media Days in July of 2022, Robinson discussed the effect NIL deals have had on him saying, “NIL has been a blessing, man- I’ve learned so much on the business side of things, and just meeting a lot of people. I feel like building relationships has been very important for me in that scene.”

Robinson is just one of thousands of athletes who have immersed themselves into the world of marketing and endorsement deals.

On3 had ranked Robinson No. 8 on their list of NIL Valuations. He is estimated to make $1.8 million annually. Robinson also has NIL deals with Lamborghini Austin, Athletic Brewing Company, Rhoback, Raising Canes, Candy Digital, C4 Energy, and more.

The rising star certainly has a personality made for the spotlight. His ability to manage his athletic career with a business, all while only 21-years-old is undeniably impressive. It is clear that Robinson is a force to be reckoned with on the field and off.
