Keon Coleman is Raking in NIL Deals

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman is proving he is a major player in this season’s world of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). Within the past two months, he has added at least three NIL deals to his portfolio.

First, Coleman created a line of t-shirts that read “Keon County,” paying homage to his Florida hometown, Leon County. Two days later, he shared his partnership with Hotel Indigo Tallahassee, announcing it as the “official hotel of Keon Coleman”. Then, Coleman updated fans on Instagram about his newest opportunity as a Raising Cane’s ambassador.

Finally, on October 23, Coleman shared several photos to X, informing fans of his new endorsement deal.

Coleman’s new whip

Proud to join the @TallahasseeDCJ family #MoreThanADealership,” Coleman captioned the post.

Fans love that he is getting the attention. One user commented, “Good for you young man. That’s what hard work and great play gets you and you damn sure deserve it!!” Others complimented his new ride and wished him even more success in the future. Overall, the deal is well received.

Tallahassee DCJ is a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Fiat, and Ram dealership. Therefore, it only made sense to gift Coleman a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overland to help market the company while he is partnered with them.

Coleman’s marketing representation group, Just Win Management, is said to have secured the deal. His representative, Joe Hernandez, shared that the partnership with DCJ is a 12-month deal involving various types of marketing.

“We’re grateful for the incredible team at Tallahassee Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat,” he told On3. “We look forward to a highly successful partnership. Truly a win-win.

It is unclear whether this is DCJ’s first Name, Image, and Likeness deal. Either way, the brand is not partnering with just anybody. The fact that Coleman was chosen speaks volumes about both his athletic skills and his character.

What makes Coleman so deserving of all of these deals?

So far, the wide receiver is having an incredibly impressive year on the field.

Just this season (so far), the 20-year-old has put up 38 receptions for over 538 yards, according to ESPN. Not to mention, Coleman has contributed 9 touchdowns to help the Seminoles reach a perfect 9-0 record.

Coleman has had numerous standout performances this year including FSU’s game against Clemson where he caught the game-winning catch in overtime. His multiple one-handed catches also haven’t hurt his chances of not only landing NIL deals but hopefully also getting scouted by NFL coaches.

It is performances like these that put Coleman on the Maxwell Award Watch List. The prestige is awarded annually by a panel of sportswriters, sportscasters, NCAA head coaches, and Maxwell Football Club members to the best all-around player in college football. The wide receiver joins fellow FSU teammates, quarterback Jordan Travis, and running back Trey Benson as a candidate.

Overall, Coleman continues to prove himself as a huge threat amongst this year’s prospects. It would be a surprise if someone with his star power was overlooked at next year’s NFL Draft.
