That’s what the television announcer called Clemson right tackle Blake Miller in the video clip below during his final college football game against Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl.

That game was his 54th consecutive start, which is a school record for a non-specialist (clemsonwire.usatoday.com).

While there are many traits I can talk about that Miller has, “durability” is an important one. I’m not sure how many people will even talk about this pre-draft, but I feel it’s important enough to start with.

It’s very important.

I mean, heck, it was also said in the video clip below that Miller “only missed two practices throughout his entire career.” That’s huge when it comes to the continuity of an offense.

Of course, anything can happen, but the past is a solid predictor of the future.

It’s a part of his NFL projection.

How did Miller look in 2025 vs. 2024?

I evaluated every snap Miller played during the 2024 season ⎯

And I evaluated every snap he played in the 2025 season.

I like the perspective of being able to see two full seasons of a prospect before the draft (if possible).

What grade did I put on his 2024 game film?

Second round.

Did he show improvements on his 2025 game film?

Yes.

What improvements did he show?

  • Footwork in pass protection was slightly better
  • Looked more polished against stunts in pass protection
  • More in control of his pass and run blocks in general
  • Finished more run blocks

His improvements were “subtle,” but they were “noticeable” over the course of the season, as I worked to extract his patterns, traits, and tendencies from the film. I wasn’t the only one who thought he improved, either.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) confirmed what I was seeing ⎯

2024:

Offensive grade 75.6

Pass blocking grade: 76.4

Run blocking grade: 69.3

2025:

Offensive grade: 78.5📈

Pass blocking grade: 83.5📈

Run blocking grade 73.3📈

Speed, athleticism, and effort

I know I said this in last season’s report, but it remained true on his 2025 film as well; Miller is one of the fastest offensive linemen I’ve ever evaluated.

Time and time again ⎯

Miller showed a quick first step in pass protection.

And he can also really move when it comes to run blocking. He can pull and get to the second level (where the linebackers reside). He can also get way downfield, no problem.

Good playing speed.

Miller’s athleticism and strong effort level also helped him compensate for his nagging, inconsistent footwork in pass protection. According to PFF, Miller surrendered two quarterback hits, two quarterback sacks, and 14 pressures in 482 pass blocking snaps in 2025.

NFL projection

It wasn’t always “pretty,” but it was often effective.

I like Miller.

There’s an edge to him, and he plays like he cares.

And he showed just enough improvement to justify pushing him up the board.

NFL.com All Combine Offensive Team Honorable Mention

2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report

Consistent right tackle with a high energy level. Aggressive nature. Long arms. Tough. Physical. Active. Sudden. Functional playing strength. Understands the art of leverage. Sometimes releases blocks too early. Works well in double teams. Can overcommit too shallow when setting up in pass pro and give up some blocking leverage toward the backdoor of the pocket as a result. Tends to maintain a nice base. Strong hand-to-hand combat. Decent vs. bull rushes. Can eventually hunker down. Opponents loved to send blitzes off his side. Handles spin moves. Enough power to drive out on run blocks. Some of his run blocks look dominant. Solid in short-yardage situations. Hit and miss out in space.

Final words

Miller moves the meter.
