Oregon Left Tackle Isaiah World is on First Round Watch List

It’s tough to find game film of University of Oregon transfer left tackle Isaiah World when he played for Nevada last season.
It’s even tougher to find pictures of him for this scouting report.
I managed to find six games to study, and I like what I saw.
World demonstrated a first-round skillset.
Another added plus ⎯
He has a defensive mentality on the offensive side of the ball, and there’s a lot to be said for that.
World has an aggressive and violent demeanor.
Guys like him set the tone. They’re the first ones a team wants to get off the bus when arriving on game day.
It will be interesting to see how he performs for the Ducks.
Level of competition is a piece of every prospect’s puzzle. It’s valid to ask, “Who did he play against at Nevada?”
One of the most intriguing parts of this evaluation is that World showed noticeable development throughout the season. He looked better against UNLV at the end of Nevada’s season than he did earlier against SMU.
Tell me more about that first-round skillset
World has NFL feet.
He needs to be more consistent in that area, but he showed he can do it.
The most important trait about left tackles at the next level is their lateral footspeed. NFL left tackles have to be able to slide out and keep up with the fastest and best pass rushers.
World flashed a quick first step. He showed he can carry his weight effectively out along the perimeter of the pocket.
His hand technique is also good. He has heavy, punchy hands.
Athleticism is another important trait. World has good flexibility and bend.
Is he raw?
Yes.
But the encouraging thing is World allowed zero sacks last season, according to Pro Football Focus.
What does World look like on running plays?
This prospect is a physical positional run blocker who got the job done most of the time. World also has good enough football playing speed to effectively pull at the line of scrimmage and also to get downfield to make blocks.
It wasn’t always pretty, but it was often effective.
World pushes.
World shoves.
He also tends to stay off the ground, limiting the possibility of injury.
On the radar
Left tackles are worth their weight in gold in the NFL. This is especially true for teams with right-handed quarterbacks, because these are the guys who protect their blindside.
Whether or not World would be on the consensus draft media first-round board (No. 23) if he had stayed at Nevada is open to debate ⎯
However, now that he’s at Oregon, he’s on the list at this point in the process.
Do I think he belongs there?
Yes.
Why?
His game film says he has the tools. I’m looking forward to evaluating his full season of game film in 2025 at Oregon to see how those tools translate to a higher level of competition.

Daniel Kelly’s 2025 Fall Grade: First-Round (I would select him)
Projected by NFL Mock Draft Database to be a First-Round prospect as of September 6, 2025
2024 game film evaluated: SMU, Georgia Southern, Minnesota, Boise State, Air Force, and UNLV (click to view games watched to form this evaluation)
2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Tenacious prospect with a strong athletic frame. Long arms. Thick thighs. Quick reflexes. Competitive. Sturdy anchor. Durable. Becomes too lax at times in pass protection and run blocking. Flashes higher levels of performance. Can get a little out of control with pass and run blocking. Sometimes gets into trouble when his sets are too shallow in pass pro. Decent football IQ. Above average at picking up stunts and blitzes. Teams tended to blitz off his side. Handled spin moves. Good job maintaining his balance and his base. Decent job of maintaining leverage while pass blocking. Below average to average sustaining run blocks.
What to watch for during the 2025 college football season
1. Does he get out of control?
2. Does he let his foot off the gas at times?
3. Sustaining run blocks?
