This Draft Analyst Sees a Bright Future in the NFL for Tre Harris
First Round Mock’s NFL Draft Analyst Rajvir Bal has studied Ole Miss wide receiver (WR) Tre Harris and walks away giving him a big grade ⎯and an even bigger comp.

It’s time to do a film study on Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris, who’s had a fascinating journey from his beginnings as a small school baller to becoming a playmaker in the SEC.
How are other draft platforms seeing him?
Pro Football Network, 33rd Team, and SI tagged Harris with a first-round grade just since the beginning of December (nflmockdraftdatabase.com)
What did his game film reveal to me?
Let’s take a look.
Background
Harris was ranked as a 2-star prospect coming out of high school (per 247Sports), and he committed to Louisiana Tech in 2019. From there, he transferred to Ole Miss in 2022.
Here’s a look at his production:
2023:
12 games, 54 receptions, 985 yards, 8 Touchdowns
2024:
8 games, 60 receptions, 1,030 yards, 7 Touchdowns, 128.8 yards per game
#9 Tre Harris 6-foot-3, 210 pounds
Rajvir Bal’s 2025 NFL Draft Grade: First-Round (I would select him)
Projected by 15.2% of the NFL Draft Community to be a first-round pick as of January 2, 2025 (nflmockdraftdatabase.com)

2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Strengths
This prospect is a complete football player who does everything serviceably, and he does many great things. He has a brand of physicality that enabled him to make some haw-dropping high-point catches. His catch radius is impressive, and he truly works hard to get to the ball. He’s as good as it gets when it comes to the deep ball and comes equipped with some exceptional downfield ball-tracking skills. Harris has a great feel for the game and is what I would label as a “born football player,” meaning he has mental and physical intangibles that simply can’t be taught. Harris has a high potential to flourish in the right spot.
Weaknesses
Somewhat concerning ⎯his hands. He doesn’t have ‘bad’ hands, his hands just got a little inconsistent at times. For example, on one of the first plays of the LSU game, he dropped a routine wide-open touchdown. This won’t fly in the NFL. He’s going to need to have safe and reliable hands to hit his ceiling. Sometimes, he also felt one-dimensional on Ole Miss’ offense and he wasn’t a true spark. In other words, he didn’t necessarily drag the team over the finish line or single-handedly get them wins. In the open field, he was inconsistent picking up additional yardage after the catch. Occasionally, he was able to put a nice move on a defensive back to do so.

NFL Comp: Terry McLaurin (6-foot-0, 200 pounds)
McLaurin is a former third-round draft choice Washington made in 2019. He’s gone on to be a star receiver for the team producing over 6,300 yards receiving in his young career.
Final Thoughts
This Ole Miss receiver will need to go to a team that can offer a solid support structure. Having an accurate quarterback at the next level will also help.
Harris has a chance at becoming a legit WR1.
Rajvir Bal is a high school student from the Virginia area. He grew up a rabid Washington Redskins fan, attending more than 30 games, and has enjoyed the team’s high points and low points throughout his life. He plays varsity football and basketball. Rajvir has taken an interest in the NFL Draft since middle school when his team picked Montez Sweat and Dwayne Haskins in the first round. His favorite NFL player ever flips between Rob Gronkowski and Brett Favre, and his favorite athlete is LeBron James. He has been writing his own scouting reports since 2020, and is excited for the opportunities FirstRoundMock provides.
