Here is Every Way That Cheez-It is Promoting The CFPs

As college football has grown in popularity in recent years, it has also created more opportunities for brand marketing.

One of the most prominent ways we see this is during bowl season, where many bowl games now have corporate sponsors and are referred to by the sponsor’s name.

Since 2022, Cheez-It has claimed the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. This year, specifically, they have gone all out to promote the game and the league as a whole- and everyone from players to fans are all getting in on the action.

Here is a quick look at each way that they are celebrating this year’s game.

Cheez-It 100% Real College Football Fantaseez

Cheez-It recently introduced their Fantaseez event in which several fans will receive the opportunity to make their fantasies come true

A few of the “fantaseez” that fans can enter to win include:

A two-minute timeout wedding in which two lucky fans will receive the opportunity to exchange vows on the field during the game. The officiant will be none other than the Cheez-It mascot Ched-Z.

The opportunity to be the first-ever broadcaster to report on the game– live from inside the stadium.

Individuals can also submit their own “fantaseez” experience at cheezit.com/footballfantaseez.

“As the go-to snack for college football viewing, Cheez-It is all about keeping it 100% real and embracing absurdly satisfying moments, just like our crackers made with 100% real cheese. We’re not just celebrating college football this bowl season, we’re celebrating the joy of obsessed fans living out their dreams – no matter how absurd – and of course giving them a cheezy twist,” said Cara Tragseiler, Senior Brand Director for Cheez-It.

“That’s why we’re flipping the script this season and turning those fantaseez into reality, because when it comes to creating unforgettable fan experiences, Cheez-It is always up for the challenge,” Tragseiler continued.

Cheez-It + Teachers

Finally, Cheez-It is showing its support to educators this year with the help of a few college football stars. Check out these videos of them surprising their favorite high school teachers.

Washington Huskies running back Jonah Coleman

Jackson State offensive lineman Kirk Ford

Elon defensive lineman Jon Seaton

Utah wide receiver Mycah Pittman

Each athlete returned to their high school to surprise their favorite teachers with a $10K donation on behalf of Cheez-It and Extra Yard for Teachers.

Cheez-It is rewarding teachers this college football season, celebrating the impact of those who had their past (and current) students “Feelin’ the Cheeziest” — or next level excitement fueled by the irresistible snack. As part of the program, Cheez-It is donating $300,000 to the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers initiative. The CFP Foundation is the largest sports entity dedicated to inspiring and empowering teachers,” RJ Ochoa of SB Nation said.

The mixture of player promotions, fan experiences, and philanthropic events will drive higher engagement levels than ever. It’s events like these that are part of the reason viewership levels have skyrocketed.

Keep your eye on Cheez-It, as well as the other bowl sponsors to see how they are celebrating in the near future.
