5 2024 NFL Draft Prospects With Vehicle Endorsement Deals

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Vehicle endorsement deals have been popular since the beginning of the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) era. It took only two months for car dealerships to join in on the trend of teaming up with college athletes to promote their brands.

Even though the types of NIL deals have undeniably become more creative, players are still receiving vehicles of all kinds to promote. Here are the vehicles that five 2024 NFL Draft prospects have received.

Spencer Rattler – Mercedes-Benz

The South Carolina QB teamed up with Dick Dyer Mercedes-Benz in Dentsville, South Carolina this past July. Rattler actually signed the deal in December of 2022 but received the vehicle in the summer.

The Gamecock received a 2023 G-Wagon. At the time, this car’s retail price was a whopping  $139,000, according to an X post from On3.

This wasn’t even the 23-year-old’s first vehicle endorsement deal, On3 says. When he played for Oklahoma, he teamed up with Fowler Automotive in 2021.

Keon Coleman – Jeep

FSU wide receiver Keon Coleman teamed up with Tallahassee DCJ, which is a dealership that specializes in the sale of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and FIAT vehicles.

Coleman received a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overland in October of last year and gets to drive the vehicle for one year. In return, the Seminole will promote the brand using his social media.

This partnership came amidst three others that he announced throughout September and October.

Clearly, Coleman was doing something right around this time.

Marvin Harrison Jr. – Chevrolet

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. partnered with the Mark Wahlberg Auto Group last April. The Buckeye received a Chevrolet Tahoe High Country.

According to NBC4, Harrison said that he cares about more than just luxury items when it comes to his NIL deals.

“I think just good people that’s first and foremost,” he said. “You want to surround yourself with good people and you kind of develop relationships and connections over time and I think things just come natural.”

As part of the deal, Harrison promoted the company on social media and made an appearance at the dealership with several other Buckeyes who also received vehicles. Brian Gilmore, who is the general manager of the dealership, has experience partnering with athletes and says he makes sure the deals do not take up too much of their time.

Bo Nix – Toyota

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix had a deal that was a little different than the other athletes. Nix received a Toyota SUV in September of 2023 through his work with Kendall Auto Group in Eugene, Oregon.

Kendall Auto Group is a well-known company in terms of vehicle endorsement deals. Former Oregon standouts Justin Herbert and Marcus Mariota worked with the brand and still promote it as ambassadors.

Jared Verse – Nissan

Finally, Florida State defensive end Jared Verse received a Nissan Frontier in November of 2022 from Kraft Nissan in Tallahassee Florida. It is unclear if the deal was temporary or if Verse still has the truck as On3 noted he would be, “riding in style for the rest of the season” at the time the deal was announced.

Verse posted a video on his Instagram in 2022 showing him signing for the car, receiving the keys, and learning how the car works.

Who knows what kind of promotions will be next when the athletes enter the NFL?
