Michael Penix Jr. Still Finished Well

Washington quarterback (QB) Michael Penix Jr. had a season to remember on and off the field.

On December 23, the 23-year-old posted several videos to his Instagram celebrating Amazon Prime’s one-billionth package.

“It’s really uplifting and humbling for me to see,” Penix Jr. said. “I’m blessed to be in a position where I can be part of somebody’s joyous moments. It means a lot to me and it’s just a constant reminder to me of how blessed I have been and how thankful I am to be in the position where I can be of help to others.”

Getting to work

Penix visited Amazon’s Seattle facility and helped the company celebrate by personally handing out packages to some lucky Prime members.

“I really wanted to make sure that we were able to make the surprise deliveries to a few deserving kids who love football as much as I do which is why I worked with Amazon to identify two lucky Prime members who are big fans of mine and whom I have met before through various college football events for the local Seattle community,” Penix Jr. said to On3. He shared that one of his stops was to Emerson and his older brother Elliot, who both seemed to admire the QB.

Penix said he also surprised Mason, who he noted was a “huge fan.” He continued, saying it was a “rewarding experience to be able to celebrate this delivery milestone with these kids.”

Penix’s Amazon favorites

“Whether it’s preparing for the big game, or enjoying Thursday Night Football, my Prime membership is a key part of my everyday routine,” Penix Jr. said in his Instagram advertisement.

As a Prime member himself, Penix noted that he uses the company’s wish list feature. He even shared his ‘Holiday Favorites’ list which includes a few of his preferred same-day delivery products.

The list includes headphones, watches, speakers, and all of the products that allow Penix to be ready on game days.

Penix talks goals

The QB also shared that he has exceeded his football goals.

“I always dreamed of getting to the NFL but honestly never dreamed of being able to partner with a company as great as Amazon and doing so for such a unique and important milestone,” he stated according to On3.

“NIL has been amazing for all college athletes,” Penix told Sports Illustrated. “It’s something that’s been talked about for a while. College athletes should get paid for the amount of work they do and how they perform on the field. It’s been great and has provided me [with] a lot of opportunities to partner with brands like Celsius and get in contact with these big-time companies. It’s been a blessing not just for me but for everyone around me.”

In terms of his athletic goals, his NFL dreams are definitely within reach. On Monday, January 1, the Huskies continued their perfect record by beating Texas 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl. The final game was playing Michigan for the College Football Playoff National Championship. He and the Huskies ended up losing 34-13, but it will still go down as a memorable season in the minds of Washington fans.

Who knows what the Husky QB will do next?
