Jordan Travis is Using NIL to Support FSU Backup Tate Rodemaker

Jordan Travis is officially done for the season, but that doesn’t mean the Seminoles are down for the count.

During the first quarter of Florida State’s game against North Alabama, Travis went down during a play, causing FSU backup quarterback, Tate Rodemaker to fill in and help win the game. It was confirmed later on that Travis will be out for the rest of the season due to a severe leg injury

“Although the injury I sustained on November 18, 2023, marks the end of my Seminole playing career, the memories here at FSU will never fade. Being the quarterback here at Florida State University has been a dream come true,” Travis wrote in an Instagram post. “I am humbled, honored, and forever grateful.

Since the injury, Travis shared that he has had a successful surgery.

“Thank you for all the prayers and love, he said. “All part of God’s Plan.”

Now the quarterback is making the most of the rest of his time at Florida State. Before the injury, Travis had his own apparel store, which launched in November of 2021.

There, fans can find various shirts, hoodies, hats, accessories, and memorabilia. Some items feature Travis’ number, while others include his autograph, and a few even contain funny graphics or wordplay related to his contributions on the field.

New additions to the Travis collection

Recently, though, Travis’ site featured several new designs related to his injury and Rodemaker’s help in leading the team to a successful rest of the season.

Travis is officially using Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) to support his teammates. He has released apparel in support of Rodemaker with the logo, “18LIEVE,” meant to represent his belief and others’ in the backup. He also stated that all profits from this merchandise will go to Rodemaker.

Also available are shirts with praying hands wearing a #13 wristband alongside Travis’ autograph. Finally, several pieces of clothing with phrases like “FINI13H” and “#FINISHFOR13” that represent the hope of a strong finish to the Seminoles’ season without Travis are available for sale. Men’s, women’s, and children’s sizing are all available.

More Support for #18

Before Florida State’s rivalry game against the University of Florida, Travis took to Instagram to share his support for Rodemaker.

“It’s your time my boy. So ready to see you shine and show the world who you are. Love you man #18elieve”

Travis also tweeted in support of #13 during the whole game.

His commitment to his team, even on the field, is clear.

“The journey this team set out on is not over yet as all of our goals still lie just ahead,” Travis shared in his Instagram statement. “I am excited to be by my brothers’ sides every day as we continue our attack. We’re all we got, we’re all we need. Job’s not finished. Go Noles!”

“Jordan will be talked about forever in this program,” head coach Mike Norvell said Monday in his weekly press conference. “It’s not necessarily going to be just about his playing ability. It’s going to be about who he is.
