Braelon Allen Looking Good on and off the Field
Wisconsin running back (RB) Braelon Allen is joining the ranks of college athletes with Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals.
The 19-year-old just finished his second year at the University of Wisconsin.
Before playing in college, Allen didn’t receive a lot of attention for his athletic abilities. Now, the tables have turned for the ESPN 4-star recruit.
During his first season with the school, Allen set a new record for a Wisconsin freshman, rushing for 100+ yards in seven consecutive games. He accomplished this at only 17 years old.
Due to plays such as this, several brands have reached out to the RB in hopes of forming partnerships. Now that athletes can financially benefit from the use of their Name, Image, and Likeness, players like Allen are taking full advantage of the offers.
Who is partnered with Allen?
The Badger’s first NIL deal was created with Iron Joc Performance Gear & Apparel in August 2021. This is also his first partnership where he is known as a brand ambassador. Iron Joc undoubtedly chose Allen due to his passion for fitness. The RB even created a company dedicated to exercise and weightlifting. HUMBLE HU$$LE is a program that includes workout and meal plans.
In August of 2022, Allen worked with the athletic apparel company to shoot a commercial.
“Did I just hear you say you don’t feel like working out? Ain’t no such thing as ‘you don’t feel like working out.’ Your opponents, they’re not sleeping. You got to do whatever to go the extra mile, you gotta do what they don’t wanna do.”
The 19-year-old has an impressive drive for being so young.
“Here’s to those who know it’s what’s inside,” says Allen.
“As Wisconsin natives..{we} were extremely excited when Braelon chose the University of Wisconsin to continue his education and take his game to the next level,” said Founder and CEO of Iron Joc. Paul Hanson. “Braelon’s work ethic on and off the field and dedication to his craft make him a perfect fit for the Iron Joc team,” he said.
Getting comfortable in the spotlight
Allen is also featured in this commercial for Iron Joc regarding the material of the apparel. Milwaukee Bucks’ Sports Broadcaster, Dario Melendez narrates the video. He describes the products as “wicking, cooling, and antistatic.” They are also built with Silver Ion technology that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria.
Select Iron Joc indoor and outdoor gear features Enduretech+™, according to PRNewswire. This provides superior water repellency, stain blocking, and permanent Silver Ion odor protection.
“I have pretty much worn, worked out, played, and sweated in every kind of gear you can imagine, Allen recalls. My first impression of Iron Joc was, ‘WOW!’ The gear looks great, feels great, and no matter how much I push myself, it stays odor free. It’s a game changer.”
Fundraisers, volunteer work, and charities
There have been numerous events since the beginning of the partnership. This includes everything from autograph signings to supporting youth sports, to participating in various sports contests to fundraise for charity.
Allen, along with Badgers’ wide receiver, Chimere Dike can be seen here repping the clothes while working out.
Aside from Iron Joc, Allen has deals with Barstool Sports and Pepsi. Several of his teammates are also a part of the drink endorsement.
Allen is proving to be a very marketable individual, not just an athlete. To add to his list of accomplishments, the running back also graduated high school in just three years. It is clear that Allen is a standout in more ways than one.
