Let’s get to this.

There are some prospects that get way too much top-end attention. They are players who get it from being at a big name program, or they are just a feel good story.

It’s clear on game film if it’s deserved, but that’s ignored sometimes too.

Statistics are a farce. I have tried to explain this many times, but with limited success. Nothing in this league is 100%, but that is why you have me, and people like me trying to change how things are done.

Some think he is a a number one pick.

Some think he is the next savior of a team and their defense.

Without further ado…

Is Anderson another Micah Parsons?

The first thing that I always look for in a player is what do they bring to the table?

Are they explosive?

Do they attack every play?

Are they fun to watch?

Without these things a football player is very unlikely to succeed.

People want another Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons. Let me make this clear, Anderson is not even comparable.

What the game film looked like

This is the part where I tell you, the game film was painful to watch.

He’s a clear opportunist who often shows one pass rush move.

My colleague Ken Becks just might be right in his assessment for a position change.

The problem is he doesn’t have the motor to play linebacker. He’s flat lazy, and he’s a liability in coverage.

Don’t worry, I’ll set this assessment ablaze.

There is nothing exciting about him.

Anderson got pushed around by larger offensive linemen. He liked to play Patty Cake with blockers while waiting for a chance to make a play.

No evolution between 2021, and 2022.

There was nothing athletic about him. He looked sluggish.

Anderson’s strength is real. That’s his only plus.

My play

I would let someone else make the mistake of drafting Anderson.

Taking care of business as an NFL player is a must. I don’t see that with this Alabama draft prospect.

Anderson doesn’t have the will to succeed.

As a first year draft analyst at FirstRoundMock.com, it will take a minute for my assessments to be taken seriously. The film speaks for itself though. It never lies.

Daniel Kelly (firstroundmock.com) via his NFL mentor says, “Stick to the dynamic ones.” Nothing truer has ever been said.

My BIG Three Questions?

  1. Can he, or will he be able to actually learn a new position in the NFL?
  2. Can he, or will he be able to add to his pass-rush move repertoire?
  3. Can he, or will he be more than just a situational pass-rusher in this league?

How Anderson stacks up and game film reviewed

My NFL Draft Value: Fourth round (I’m being generous).

Pro comparison: Is there one?
